Gretchen's professional career started in arts management after earning her Master’s degree in Museum Administration from The George Washington University, Washington, D.C. Over the years, she worked and held various management positions in different organizations including a modern art European Gallery, Newmark Homes, Kurt E. Schon, Ltd, 17th – 19th century European Art Gallery, University Art Museum, University of Southwest Louisiana and Smithsonian Institution Travelling Exhibition Service.
Later this experience branched into the role of international tour manager for university alumni organizations, an experience that took her to over 12 major cities across Europe. Gretchen’s experience in project management includes the areas of wind energy, offshore and onshore drilling and patent matters. She later joined Herman J. Schellstede & Associates, Inc. (Engineering) as a Project Assistant and she is presently the Project Coordinator of Wind Energy Systems Technology, where she is serving as a special project agent and researcher for the company.
Gretchen is a graduate of Tulane University, New Orleans where she obtained Bachelors of Art History and French. She also holds a Masters of Arts degree in Museum Administration, from The George Washington University, Washington DC. and was recently awarded acceptance to this university for her second Master’s degree. She is widely travelled and has studied German at a professional level and can speak French fluently.
